Opening times: Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve (24.12.) and New Year’s Eve (31.12.) 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
How to reach us: A4 motorway to the Eisenach Ost exit, then follow the signs.
Rail: 15 minutes’ walk from the Main Station (ICE Frankfurt/M.–Leipzig)
Parking: There is parking for cars and buses outside the building (parking charges apply), and cycle stands are provided. The ramp on the pavement is not suitable for wheelchairs; if you need help, please telephone us. The Bachhaus has three dog boxes (use free of charge).

The Bachhaus is a recognised charity as defined in Articles 52 et seq. of the German Tax Code (last monitoring: Mühlhausen Tax Office on 10 February 2020, tax no. 157/124/ 20542,). A donation certificate will be sent if you provide us with your address.
The Bachhaus is owned by the Neue Bachgesellschaft, an international society of friends of Bach’s music. Please consider becoming a member! It receives annual grants by the Free State of Thuringia and the City of Eisenach. It is registered as a cultural heritage site of national importance in the Federal German Government’s “Blue Book” of cultural beacons in the five New Federal States and is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media. The redesign of the Bachhaus in 2007 was subsidised by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Important partners are the Johann Sebastian Bach Foundation, the Hesse-Thuringia Savings Banks Cultural Foundation and the Wartburg Region Savings Banks Foundation.
